Match Reports

An improved performance from last week although not as convincing a result as it could have been. The Sports Shop started the game with only 5 men so for the first 10 minutes we attacked in numbers without making a breakthrough. Their 6th man eventually turned up and we could have been punished for not taking our early chances as they started to create a few of their own. Eventually our goal came when some nice passing resulted in Russ hitting a low shot under the keeper and into the bottom corner, 1-0. Sports Shop didn-t lose their heads and continued to press with our new keeper Andy James pulling off one great save to keep the game at 1-0...Matt C managed to end the game with a close range effort after seeing my previous shots trouble only the passing spectators and a guy mowing his lawn in an adjacent garden. The final result was probably fair but well played to Sports Shop. Best of luck for the rest of the season.
