We was robbed!! Gutted, first defeat of the season and unbeaten record gone against our arch rivals. No way we deserved to lose this game, we didn-t deserve a win but I think hammer will agree a draw wouldve been the right result.

We both played some good stuff and the game was end to end swapping the lead a few times until hammer took the lead 4-3 with about ten to play. In the dying minutes frenchy found himself about 4 yards out in front of their goal with one defender in front of him and unlike him decided not to shoot or pass to walshy or wes both of whom were either side of him unmarked and somehow the ball was nicked off him and booted down field for hammer to score a break away goal to make it 5-3 with the final kick of the game. Bollocks.

At 4-3 there was also a very clear penalty shout with a shot being saved by the keeper and rolling up onto one of their defenders arms on the line stopping it from going in. It wasn-t intentional but arm none the less. Anywho arguments and handbags insued for a wee while until we decided to let it go.

So to summarise, great game by I think the two best sides in the league and unfortunate not to draw. Not all doom and gloom though as we still sit top by two points.

Cheers hammer and see you for the return later in the year.

World cup of joy. Peace out.
A 5 point gap was reduced to just 2 here with a vital win! Rogues are a top side and its always nice to beat them fair and square. Its therefore dissapointing that the gloss was taken off this one with the whole what ifs surrounding the penalty argument. I know that if it was the other way around we would have argued for one just as much but at the end of the day in our opinion, not only was it heading either onto the crossbar or over, it was ball to hand.

...so a shame really in what was otherwise a top game between, as Rogues said, probably the two strongest teams in the league, on our days. The first half seemed to be a half of two halves. Us, all over Rogues in the opening 15, quite the opposite in the second 15. A goal apeice in each making it 1-1 at the break. Second half was end to end with both teams playing some top stuff. After grabbing an early goal to make it 2-1, Rogues looked the most likely to win after that going 3-2 infront with only 10 or so mins to play. Jamie however levelled things up at 3-3 before Robbie put us 4-3 infront. Then there was the penalty shout before a 3 on 1 counter attack put Jay through to complete his hat-rick and seal the points.

Many thanks to the Rogues boys for what was a very competitive game, see you later in the season.

Man of the match for us could have gone to anyone on the night. Not superb stuff from any individual but a very solid game where everyone put in a shift at the back. A vast improvement on the defensive side from us over the last 2 weeks....

No league game now until September! Will have 2 or 3 friendlies set up for the break however and the champions cup kicks-off in July!
