Match Reports
A solid start to our Champions cup campaign here in a 13-1 crushing of Athletico Rovers.

Missing for this game were John (who hasnt been seen in a Hammer shirt much this season at all), Galve and Kenny but we had a decent squad of 7.

The first half was tight with us having much of the possesion and chances but Rovers getting 6 behind the ball consistantly and restricting us to a 3-1 halftime lead. Lee x 2 and Robbie with the goals.

Second half was far more open with Athletico tiring and us playing some really good stuff at times. Jamie had one of those 30 minute spells where no-one could live with them and after scoring a hatrick within 5 minutes of the re-start, proceeded to set up pretty much every other! Everyone got on the scoresheet in the end with Ed lobbing an out of position keeper from the half-way line, Jamez lashing in from 15 yards, and even Mik sprinting forward from the back to slot home a Robbie lay off.

13-1 is harsh on Athletico who clearly applied a gameplan that was working until they tired towards the end of the second half. A great bunch of lads and some tidy players also. Many thanks for the game and good luck in the rest of your season.

Man of the match for us was tight but Jay claims it with a superb second half performance. The best player in the league on this showing no doubt!!

Next up its Kebab who we havent played for a while. No slip up there sets up the game of the group next Weds against Bookham who made us look very average in a friendly last week.....
I-ll start by saying Hammer are a bloody good team.

I may or may not add further comments before this report gets locked...
