Match Reports
A good week in all then as we completed another convincing victory last night. Now that we-ve sealed at least a junior cup quarter-final place, we can concentrate on the business part of this group. A very difficult game next week against high-flying Bookham followed by a far from easy game against England United a fortnight later.

Didnt get off to the best start in this one as we found ourselves 1-0 down within 20 seconds after some very sloppy play from the kick-off. Their frontman making no mistake in drilling under Rich.

From then onwards it was one-way traffic and we had opened up a 7-1 lead by the break. Jamie and Lee with the majority who have been on top form this week!

Second half wasnt much fun as both teams lost all shape. With many 2 or 3 on 1-s it was sometimes hard to chose between glory or setting up your team-mates and on most occasions, we chose neither. Kebab had plenty of chances themselves during the half. Rich was on top form to prevent them from scoring more then just the 1 that they did get.

6 more second half goals followed for us but it could and should have been a few more.

Kebabs sportsmanship was spot on throughout until in the last minute of the game, one of their subs decided to run onto the pitch to stop a goalbound shot from crossing the line. Didnt want to make too much of this, but it certainly wasnt in the spirit of the game.

Man of the match was between Lee and Jamie for us for the second time this week so will give this one to Lee as Jay had it Tuesday.

Quite annoyed at whats written opposite! The game, was played fairly throughout with the only dispute being at the end. Kebabs gripe about the kick out at the end is quite understandable and no arguments there but quite who these other 1 or 2 are? The only reason we find ourselves at the bottom of the fairplay league is down to a 1 out of 10 dished out by ATI earlier in the season. I dont think theres many other teams who would agree with you?!

At the end of the day, everyones different and different people take their footy more seriously then others. Kebab are a team who historically treat this league as a bit of laugh, and thats fair enough but we treat these games quite differently and I dont think theres anything wrong with that. I suppose this is an argument against the Champions cup. If teams like this play each other, then whats the point?
Not a bad result against one of the leagues top teams, I reckon about 18-6 prob would have been about right though, both keepers making several good saves.

I see Hammer made reference to our player coming on the pitch, clearly missing the point that this only occured after one of their subs ran on from the side of the pitch to intercept a throw out from our keeper. In both instances the ball was returned to that side so not sure why the gripe. What was against the spirit was when the little fella tried to kick our guy up in the air at the end and when challenged let rip with a tirade of exlpetives. I suggest you get your own house in order before you start criticising others. No surprise to see you bottom of the fair play league.

Sadly this kind of comment is indicative of Hammer. It would be unfair to say it is true of the whole team but certainly 2 or 3 of them have to be amongst the biggest idiots we have ever had the misfortune to play against. I don-t think we have ever played against people who bitched, moaned and sniped at their own team mates so much, I feel sorry for the rest of the team who have to play with you every week.

Time for a reality check (again I must point out this is not directed at the whole team); if you guys were as good as you think you are you would be resting after the world cup instead of playing against clowns like us. You should really try not to take yourselves or these games so seriously as I never seen a team who seemed to have such a miserable time when winning, I-d hate to see what happens when you lose.

Lighten up, grow up and here-s hoping we never have to play each other again.

Big Hugs, Real Kebab xxx
