Match Reports
The score line tells a different story to the actual game. As WWF have mentioned, if our shooting was not the worst i-ve ever known it to be (we had i think 1 or 2 shots actually on target) the score line could-ve been very different.

But well done to WWF for craeting chances themselves and taking the ones that we gave them, and we did gift them with some.
Codies 0 - 6 WWF-UK

A game for the old guard, this. Andy Clements & David Southern making up a frontline boasting 234 goals... and almost all of them scored by Andy. 5 of the 6 goals came from this formidable pairing. Our other centurion, Iain, opened the scoring in typical fashion with a cool finish after a nice move consisting of a ball over the top.
There were chances at both ends, had Codies shooting not been a little wayward they could have been back on terms before DS extended our lead from the spot. Another long ball was this time cut out by their keeper, only to find he?d strayed from his area; the Pandas manager taking the responsibility and slotting home nervelessly.
In the second period WWF enjoyed better possession and pressed well, Clements up front showing the necessary desire and work rate from which goals are made. And so it proved. A nice hat-trick followed, the pick of them when he showed his experience by making room for himself in the box, waiting for the keeper to commit before rolling the ball home with aplomb.
David rounded things off with a bit of a collectors item. Having earlier had a header rebound off the woodwork, he made no mistake as he pounced on a cross, jumping well to meet the ball just under the crossbar. Not quite enough to earn Man of the Match, the goal machine that is Andy Clements taking that honour.

Well played Codies, see you in the league!
