Match Reports

Both teams had the bare 6 to start with and the first half was a tight affair, with periods of pressure at each end. The first blood was for Lionhead when Matt headed in unopposed at the back post from a lofted corner, but after another tense period APC pulled it level ... only for us to immediately retake the lead with some smart passing from the kick off. Another tense period, and again APC levelled the score ... and once more we took the lead back almost immediately.

Half time saw the arrival of the French contingent, as G and Jez trotted up to come straight on, a big relief for Gareth who had taken quite a knock from Pete when clearing a ball. APC scored early to bring the scores level but this was again shortlived and we ran away with the match as the half progressed with continuing solid defence and plenty of attacking movement (Matt and Jez switching up front to great effect).
